Welcome to the Research Guide for Huron Heights Secondary School. In this site, you will find information and resources to help you complete your research projects properly.

Process Work

When an essay or major project is assigned, process work must be handed in with the end product. Hand in copies of all articles taken from the Internet, and rough notes with the citation information for each source. An essay or major project without process work is incomplete and will not be marked. Process work may be accepted late but must be a part of the marked package.

Stop Plagiarism

Plagiarism is defined as using someone else's words, ideas, or images without credit.

Plagiarism can result in consequences varying from having to do an assignment over, to a grade of 0 to possible criminal prosecution.

Get Better Marks

By following the steps in this guide, you will learn how to:

  • find the most useful information;
  • recognize fake and possibly incorrect websites;
  • organize your information;
  • develop a thesis;
  • avoid plagiarism;
  • create outstanding presentations and reports;
  • get better marks.
