Head:

Mrs. Pam Agawa (905) 895-2384 ext 153

What is Alternative Education?

It is a series of uniquely designed classroom and work experience educational programs. These programs appeal to many types of students including those who

  • are academically at risk and would benefit from a welcoming flexible teaching style
  • would value social and emotional support and guidance
  • would benefit from having fewer students per class and fewer teacher and classroom changes (i.e. one teacher/one classroom for multiple subjects)
  • want to combine class learning with workplace learning and experience

Achieve an OSSD

Alternative Education courses in all programs (HYTES - LINKS - ENCORE - HALE) are credited towards the very same Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) as in the traditional school program.
