What is Alternative Education?
It is a series of uniquely designed classroom and work experience educational
programs. These programs appeal to many types of students including those
who
- are academically at risk and would benefit from a welcoming flexible
teaching style
- would value social and emotional support and guidance
- would benefit from having fewer students per class and fewer teacher
and classroom changes (i.e. one teacher/one classroom for multiple subjects)
- want to combine class learning with workplace learning and experience
Achieve an OSSD
Alternative Education courses in all programs (HYTES - LINKS - ENCORE
- HALE) are credited towards the very same Ontario Secondary School Diploma
