Mission Statement

Huron Heights Secondary School Library provides learning services, books, and resources that enable all members of the school community to become critical thinkers. This is achieved by effectively and ethically using information in all formats and media, with links to the wider library and information network. The library facilitates students achieving higher levels of literacy, including reading, learning, problem-solving, information and communication technology skills.

Library Hours

The library is open Monday to Friday from 8:15 am to 4:00 pm.

Loan Materials

Student cards are mandatory for library use. You must present your student card when borrowing or renewing materials.

There is a maximum of 2 items on loan for any given subject/assignment/topic.

Renewals

All materials may be renewed, provided that no other student has requested them.

Overdue Fines

books $0.10 per day $3.00 maximum per book
overnight loan materials $0.25 per day $3.00 maximum per item

Photocopier

A coin operated photocopier is available in the library for student use at 10 cents per copy.
